INTRODUCTION OF VDL'S SMART POLE
With the development and production of a new 'smart pole,' we are initiating a new international ecosystem. This collaboration addresses the increasing demand for charging and metering infrastructure and sustainability in public spaces in a socially responsible and intelligent way. VDL’s smart pole consists of various types and can be built with different connectivity options from different brands and solutions. This offers maximum flexibility for customers.

The NDW21 modular housing development initiative by VDL De Meeuw
VDL De Meeuw is a manufacturer and provider of flexible housing. They create utility and residential buildings that are adaptable and movable. The NDW21 project by VDL De Meeuw is an innovative and sustainable housing initiative in Nijmegen. This project involves the construction of 489 modular homes along the Nieuwe Dukenburgseweg. These homes are designed to be flexible and environmentally friendly, contributing to a circular economy. VDL De Meeuw collaborated with four housing corporations — Talis, Woonwaarts, SSH& and Portaal — and the municipality of Nijmegen to realize this project. The modular homes offer a modern and sustainable living solution and demonstrate VDL De Meeuw’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility. On the outside, modular buildings look just like traditional buildings. You can't really tell them apart. An increasing number of architects are interested in VDL De Meeuw's flexible housing. Both flexible housing and traditional buildings must comply with the same regulations, which are outlined in the Building Decree Environment. This ensures that flexible housing solutions, such as NDW21, meet the highest environmental and safety standards while supporting a circular economy.
